CELEI facilitates and encourages Language Exchange as part of the learning process in all its programs. Language exchange is a service that allows people who wish to learn a specific language to interact with people who speak that language. This is a win-win situation since both parties are helped.
If you’re speaking with a native speaker or someone who has spent significant time living in the culture of the language you’re learning, you will learn cultural nuances you wouldn’t have otherwise picked up.
It’s important to know that to really understand a language, you need to understand how the people that speak that language think. A language is often customized to fit their way of existence and of thinking. If you understand the people, you will understand the language
Moreover, when you do language exchange you make friends and enter their circles, making valuable personal relationships in the community
CELEI offers a service of language exchange, consisting of establishing contact between students of Spanish and English at student request.
Youth Association membership or participation is a means to pool efforts and share ideals through collective responses; a tool for youth participation with continuity and projection in society, able to channel the concerns of young men / women, their commitment and identification with common values
You can choose to join or participate in a youth association working in a field of your interest.
CELEI will guide and support you in the process.
As part of the experiential leaning approach CELEI organizes Intercultural Discussion sessions around specific topics of interest, with university students and youth associations. The sessions will be led by intercultural facilitators
